Born 1846, in Brussels, to French parents; died 1910, in Paris.

Painter, watercolourist. Waterscapes, seascapes, landscapes.

 

Biography :

 

Louis Timmermans studied at the Brussels academy and the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris. He exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français in Paris and received a command in 1904.

He worked mainly in France, painting seascapes and views of ports and the banks of the Seine in Paris.
